Digging the garden over.

We have an area of grass behind our house where we are putting our vegetable garden. As a priority we have planted strawberries. Lol. Mainly because they were cheap to buy.

There is a lot of digging to be done. So far we have oy done the strawberry bed and started on the next one. As always it hurts, we debated going for a no dog raised bed garden but topsoil is incredibly expensive. So we went traditional. And have been digging it over.
Strawberries in, just a boarder to be made to go round it, to do.

Bed two marked out, it seems much bigger than the last one.

Millie's ideal way to garden.

Gardening with them definatley makes them more cheerful than most things.

Life begins again

So I'm back to blogging. We have been back in England for about a year now. Sadly our adventure in France wasn't financially viable.

Anyway rather than dwell on that this does give us an opportunity to try and live as green as possible in a fairly normal setting. As such we find ourselves in a three bedroomed house with a reasonabl sized garden in South Gloucestershire.

I will try and keep this updated with our progress at towing vegetables and trying to become as self sufficient as possible one the land we have.

This shows the area of the garden at the back of the house that we will turn into our supermarket.

I have dug the first vegetable bed. Which seemed to take me a very long time. However it was also the smallest. And I have the equivalent of another 10 the same size to dig over.
